Discovery Week extends our curriculum beyond the walls of classrooms while providing unique, inspirational and challenging situations to our students; whether they are taking part in overseas or overnight trips, or remain a little closer to home, they have opportunities to realise personal growth as they strengthen friendships, develop team and leadership skills, and experience independence and responsibility.  In short, KSIM Discovery Week enables all students to discover more about themselves, each other, and the world around them.

Discovery Week 2023 has been so much more that “just a week of field-trips”, rather,  all students taking part – aged 3 or 17 years – have undoubtedly benefited from the deliberate fostering of opportunities to develop a strong sense of their abilities while engaging with and overcoming challenges with confidence – and in doing so have strengthened connectedness that provides the sense of belonging required to enhance the development of personal identities.
